Seren practiced turning in ditches. She was reluctant to pull into harness at first, but when I didn’t go with her she really dug in & insisted. Indicated intermediate article from a couple of feet away, I’m guessing due to wind. End article was gone - there had been a dog walker in the area while track was aging. (8:45-9:30)

Dylan: 8 turn stairstep. 8:25-9:05. Young man came to practice some soccer moves not too far from end of track, just as we were getting ready to run it. I thought to wait until he was done, but then groundkeeper started mowing near beginning of track & was obviously going to mow over track, so I went ahead. Dylan did quite well until he got within critical distance of soccer practice & then wanted to join that. Happily, my new line did not slip through my hands, but I thought for a second my elbow was dislocated. He got back to work for brief periods, but his head wasn’t in the game that I wanted to play, so I gave it up & tossed down an article after turn 5. Will revisit soccer practice outside the tracking scenario & work on that.
