 Dorey Park

Seren: long distance track with as few turns as possible. Age 3.5hr. Overcast, 61 degrees, 2mph,  60%.

Last leg appeared to have been heavily trafficked recently (farmers market 2 days ago?) so I did a lot of scuffing & more food than usual there, but she still had a hard time with it. I’m sure her being a bit tired at that point had a lot to do with it also. But, it gave me another opportunity to work on how to help her through rough spots. Obviously I did stuff I wouldn’t be allowed to do at a test, but we did get through it.

I have no idea how or why the video stopped & restarted itself toward the end                                     video:  https://youtu.be/TsrFY7CObu4?feature=shared

Dylan:  3 turns, last 2 were hangman’s turns. Age 1.5hr. Overcast, 58 degrees, 2mph, 70%. He did very well. Hangman’s turns were not an issue

North Park Library Seren only today. She had an article in the woods track, 3 hours old. All articles except start (which wasn’t in the woods) had food in them & had food 10-20 steps after. She tracked quite well, I thought. Needed reminder lie down at a couple of the articles (at least as quickly as I would like), so I don’t plan to leave the food out any of them just yet. Did not seem averse to lying down in the woods, tho. https://youtu.be/CZjVFmqwbxs?feature=shared

Judi’s woods & field Seren did a 2 hour old stairstep track in the woods, article on every leg. I was very pleased with how things went https://youtu.be/QwBOa8ed7XE ?feature=shared Dylan had his first chance to track in snow. Snow was thin, patchy, & mostly melted, but there was a visible human crosstrack after the first turn, probably from yesterday. He did not try to go down this track, but did investigate it (or something near or on it) thoroughly. Got back to work right away though, after I decided he had investigated whatever it was long enough. I didn’t see that he paid any attention to the snow. https://youtu.be/51uhzEvmsMs ?feature=shared

Dorey Park. Seren:  tried again to do the track I had in mind for yesterday. 4 turns, food on 1, 3, &4. Article on each corner except last one (I forgot), & one on straightaway leg 3. Age 3 hours After a gawd-awful start, we managed to muddle through, with me doing what I could think of to help her. I think she just did not want to track today. About all she did well was indicate the articles.  Her next track will be younger, shorter, & have more food on it. https://youtu.be/MOeOk6G_kUM
