Judi’s woods & field
Seren did a 2 hour old stairstep track in the woods, article on every leg. I was very pleased with how things wenthttps://youtu.be/QwBOa8ed7XE ?feature=shared
Dylan had his first chance to track in snow. Snow was thin, patchy, & mostly melted, but there was a visible human crosstrack after the first turn, probably from yesterday. He did not try to go down this track, but did investigate it (or something near or on it) thoroughly. Got back to work right away though, after I decided he had investigated whatever it was long enough. I didn’t see that he paid any attention to the snow.

What I’m liking the very best about this track is your patience. You’re letting HER show YOU where the track is! And by slowing down and letting her make the decisions, you’re allowing her to check things, and clearly tell you when she’s tracking. Articles were excellent too!
ReplyDeleteLoved Dylan's track! Your patience at the cross track was perfect, as was your reminder to get back to work. I always am afraid if you give that too early they'll ignore you, and if you time it correctly they kinda say, "oh yeah....the track....ok!" And he clearly did the later. Nice job
DeleteLooked great, Betty! Was really informative to watch how he handled the x track and agree with Judi that the timing of that is a balancing act so nicely done. I can also see where you are working on letting line go before stepping away. One note on the line is when he stops, I can see the line getting a bit loose with a U shape, I'd work on keeping soft tension in the line so it doesn't drop, that way you avoid a big change (potential inadvertent 'correction') in "contact" on the line and what he feels.
